Recent Graduate Chosen for Fulbright Program to Bulgaria

Price Tarbet of Big Spring, a May 2022 graduate of Angelo State University, has been awarded a prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student English Teaching Assistantship to teach English in Bulgaria for the 2023-24 academic year.

Recent Angelo State alumnus Zach Sutterfield overcomes incredible odds to earn his diploma. 

On July 19, 2018, Zach Sutterfield went to sleep in a friend’s apartment in San Marcos. Early the next morning, he woke up surrounded by flames and with his body on fire.

$1 Million Gift to Re-Name Department of English and Modern Languages

Angelo State University has received a $1 million gift from Dallas-based entrepreneur and philanthropist G. Brint Ryan to establish a permanent endowment benefitting ASU’s Department of English and Modern Languages.
