Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

January 22 2013 11:30am - 1:00pm

Houston Harte University Center, Lobby

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?’” Each year, Americans across the country answer that question by coming together on the King Holiday to serve their neighbors and communities.

The Multicultural Center invites you to join us as we pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  for his work with civil rights, poverty and the Vietnam War. The commemoration will take place Tuesday, Jan. 22  from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 pm in the University Center Lobby.

Attendants will have the opportunity to learn about Dr. King’s legacy and the impact on society today. Additionally, we will have a banner available for those who wish to share their thoughts about this historic celebration.
