Get with your RA or come to the Centennial Village Commons from 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday and schedule a time to donate blood on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 11am - 5pm in the Centennial Village Commons.
Walk-ups are welcome! Find the Hero in you and Donate Blood!
Attention Residents,
ASU will be hosting the semi-annual Battle of the Halls blood drive starting Tuesday, April 21st and running through Thursday, April 23rd, from 5pm- 9pm and Friday, April 24th from 11am-5pm.
Please find the Hero in You and come donate!
The schedule of drives are as follows:
Monday- Centennial Village in the Meeting Room and on the bus
Tuesday- Robert Massie Hall in the Main Lobby
Wednesday- Texan Hall in the Community Room
Thursday- Plaza Verde Clubhouse 1st floor
Food will be served to donors at each drive AND donors will receive a goody bag filled with freebies, coupons from local restaurants, and a commemorative T-shirt!
Appointments can be made by contacting your Residence Hall Front Desk or RA. They are recommended, but not required.
For those of you that have never donated blood before, the process takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. It is a simple process broken down into 4 steps- 1) Interview, 2) mini-physical, 3) donation, 4) refreshments.
**You can save about 15 minutes by completing your “Health History Questionnaire” online at www.UnitedBloodServices.com before your donation. This must be done the day of the drive and you will need access to a printer**
United Blood Services has been this area’s nonprofit community blood provider since 1956, and serves patients in 10 hospitals in 11 counties, including Tom Green County, Shannon Medical Center, and Community Hospital. The United Blood Services network is one of the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit blood service organizations, and is a founding member of America’s Blood Centers and the AABB (formerly the American Association of Blood Banks).
