FG RAMS Mentee Application

The RAMS Mentor program is designed to help incoming freshmen adjust to life at ASU through the support system of a mentor, family group, and individual attention from the RAMS program specialist in the Multicultural Center.

Below you will find the application for incoming freshmen who wish to participate in the FG RAMS Mentor program (as a mentee). If you have completed at least two long semesters at ASU, you should complete the mentor application if you wish to participate in the program.

Please use your @angelo.edu email address
You may receive text messages from FG RAMS program participants or Multicultural Center staff
Please provide the FULL mailing address you will use while school is in session
Please provide the FULL mailing address you will use until school is in session
If you have been a full-time student at ASU for at least one year, you should be completing the mentor application.
You are a first generation student if neither one of your parents have earned a 2- or 4-year degree
The FG RAMS Mentor program consists of several elements. In order to reap the full benefit of your participation in the program, you MUST participate in all aspects of the program to the best of your ability.
In order to better match you with a mentor, please share a little bit about your experience up until now. (Your hometown, your high school activities, your extracurricular activities...)
What are you looking for in a mentor? Would you prefer-- someone who is a great listener over someone who has a lot of advice to give? Someone who invites you into their activities over someone who waited for you to ask? Are you looking for more social adjustment help, academic adjustment help, or both?
This is a less scary version of "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Instead-- What would you like to do with your experience at ASU? What are you looking to learn?
