Winners Selected in Instagram Contest

Sometimes all you need to make something truly epic is a good group of friends.

That was the case for Angelo State University freshman Madison Anderson, who won the #AngeloEpic Instagram Contest.

She snapped her winning photo at ASU’s first home football game with a group of friends she met since the fall semester started in August.

“Another friend and I painted our faces before the game,” Anderson said. “We were just having a good time.”

Anderson is a pre-nursing major from Colorado City. She said she found out about the contest from a poster.

As the grand prize winner, Anderson took home a Sceptre 32” LED 1080p HDTV provided by the contest’s title sponsor, Suddenlink.

“Suddenlink is happy to support this Instagram contest that encourages students to make the most of their college experiences,” said Lynsey Flage, marketing manager at Suddenlink in San Angelo.

The #AngeloEpic contest also included three prizes for the best interpretation of contest themes. Each winner received a Keurig provided by SanAngeloBoard.com and the ASU Office of Communications and Marketing.
