GO GREEN & RECYCLE

Owner: Sam Tambunga
Nature of Business: Recyclable Material Services
City: San Angelo, TX
SBDC Business Advisor: Paul Howard

Sam has owned and operated Go Green & Recycle for almost two years. More and more San Angeloans are recycling and this has caused the business to grow. When it was initially purchased, there was a small base of clients who used the service. Now with Sam’s ingenuity and passion for his small business it has grown to over 300 residential and commercial customers.

With growth comes the need for capital and Sam approached the Angelo State University • Small Business Development Center for assistance. Sam obtained a loan through Acción Texas to assist in marketing his business.

Sam said, “The SBDC has been very helpful in giving me information on my business. Any question or help that I need they are always there ready to help in any way they can. I consider them as part of my team.”

As Go Green & Recycle continues to grow it is not only helping the environment, but it is educating people in the Concho Valley how important recycling is. By helping Sam obtain financing, the business is able to retain four employees
