ASU Chorales to Present Love Songs

The Angelo State University Concert Chorale and Community Chorale will cap the month of love on Tuesday, Feb. 28, with a “Concert of Love Songs” at the Cactus Hotel, 36 E. Twohig Ave., in downtown San Angelo.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is open free to the public.  The program will include a German lied by Franz Josef Haydn, a French chanson by Claude LeJeune, opera choruses by Bedrich Smetana and Jacques Offenbach, jazz tunes by John Rutter and Johnny Mercer, and P.D.Q. Bach’s Elizabethan madrigal, “Two Hearts, Four Lips, Three Little Words.” 

The ASU Concert and Community Chorales are directed by Dr. Pamela Lee, professor of music and director of chorale activities.
