Chef Tim Condon worked at a three star hotel in Hawaii when he first called the ASU SBDC for help in establishing a food service business in San Angelo. He wanted to relocate to San Angelo because of family.

Chef Tim met with SBDC advisor Pedro Ramirez who assisted him with creating a business plan/loan proposal and also helped him with a marketing analysis. Chef Tim was able to secure the loans necessary to build a great looking and very functional food trailer and called the business Lone Star Cheeseburger Company. He considers it a cutting edge restaurant on wheels. He only uses Angus beef and all of the burgers are grilled over a custom made wood-fired grill. All of the toppings are hand selected by Chef Tim and all of the buns are baked fresh every day.

Chef Tim credits Pedro with assistance saying “Pedro helped so much. I could not have done it without him!”

Lone Star Cheeseburger can be seen at various locations throughout the city.
