Craftsmanship with Endless Possibilities

March 02, 2012

When Todd Kolls met with ASU-SBDC Advisor Paul Howard, Paul suggested he develop a business plan to present to a lender. Todd worked hard to develop a good business plan and his hard work paid off when his banker approved the loan.

Todd was very close to becoming a certified gemologist and had worked in the industry for a family member in Midland and also for a local jewelry store. He had always wanted his own business and since he was almost certified thought it was a good time to look into the possibility.

Todd made an appointment with the Angelo State University • Small Business Development Center for assistance with his business venture. He met with Advisor Paul Howard who suggested he develop a business plan to present to a lender. Todd worked hard to develop a good business plan and his hard work paid off as his banker approved the loan. Todd stated, “I experienced excellent communication with Paul Howard. The SBDC packet of information was very helpful. I don’t think this business would have been possible if not for the Small Business Development Center.”
