Elias Earns 2012 Presidential Award

Nominated by Dr. Mark Hama in the Department of English and Modern Languages, Yolanda Fay Elias will receive the 2012 Presidential Award and graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Spanish minor, and with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics with a computer science minor.

    On Tuesday evening, our local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society, inducted fifteen new members.
  • On November 2nd, Dr. Jules Gates, associate professor of English, presented her creative nonfiction poem “From His Coy Mistress” on a panel with two other creative nonfiction writers at the 2015 South Central Modern Language Conference (SCMLA) in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Dr. Chris Ellery, a professor of English in Angelo State University’s Department of English and Modern Languages, has won first prize in the eighth biennial X.J. Kennedy Award for Creative Nonfiction administered by Rosebud Magazine.
