TV Comic Coming to ASU Club Café

Television comedian Michelle Buteau will bring her stand-up routine to Angelo State University’s Club Café coffeehouse entertainment series on Wednesday, April 20, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.

Buteau will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center. ASU student tickets will be presold for $2 Wednesday, April 13, through Friday, April 15. Tickets will be available to the general public for $5 from Monday, April 18, through Wednesday, April 20. Any remaining tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis at the door.

The first 100 audience members to arrive will receive a free Club Café coffee mug. Coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, cookies, brownies and other refreshments will be served.

Buteau is widely recognized from her appearances on seasons five and six of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” She has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and Paramount Comedy Network’s “The World Stands Up.” She also regularly appears on HGTV’s “25 Worst Mistakes,” VH1’s “Best Week Ever” and “Black to the Future,” MTV’s “Walk of Shame” and “Hatin,’” and the Oxygen Network’s “Kiss & Tell” and “Oh No You Didn’t.”

Besides her television performances, Buteau has performed widely at comedy festivals including Seattle’s Bumbershoot, HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colo., and the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn.
