ASU Bass Anglers Win Tournament

Seale and Freeman caught five fish weighing a total of 22.89 pounds to better the second place team’s catch by more than 1.5 pounds. Their first place prize of $700, along with all other tournament winnings, goes to the Bass Anglers club to fund future trips.
Bass Anglers is an ASU student organization and is part of the ASU Center for Student Involvement’s Club Sports Council, which helps fund its tournament entries.
In April, club members Ryan Easterly and Austin Osmanski teamed up for a third-place finish with a total catch of 27.82 pounds at the O.H. Ivie Reservoir Tournament for a $355 purse. Also, Ryan Ward and Matthew Freeman took fourth place at the Hubbard Creek tournament to win $200. Total prize money won by the Bass Anglers for the spring semester was $1,255.
The club’s summer schedule begins with the FLW Toledo Bend Reservoir Tournament on Saturday, June 2, followed by the WTTT Tournament at Oak Creek Lake on Sunday, June 10.
