ASU Bass Anglers Place at FLW Tourney
June 07, 2012
Josh Seale and Ethan George caught four bass weighing a total of 12 pounds, 14 ounces to bring home the second-place $1,500 purse, which will go to the Bass Anglers club. Their runner-up finish also earned them a place in the three-day Southern Conference Championship later this year and a chance to advance the National Championship Tournament early next year.
All participants in FLW tournaments must be registered, fulltime undergraduate students at four-year colleges or universities, and must be members of fishing clubs recognized by their institutions. Formed in 1996, FLW is named for Forrest L. Wood, the founder of Ranger Boats. It is considered the premier tournament fishing organization in the U.S., and organizes tournaments at the high school, college and professional levels.
The ASU Bass Anglers club summer schedule continues on Saturday, June 10, with the West Texas Team Trail Tournament at Oak Creek Reservoir near Blackwell.
