ASU Still Registering Students

August 16, 2012

Prospective Angelo State University students who did not attend an ASU Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) session this summer are still encouraged to register for classes before the fall semester begins Aug. 27.

The Office of Admissions is honoring fall 2012 ASU acceptance letters that prospective students received in the past year.  Admissions counselors will work one-on-one with any new students to ensure that their admission materials are complete and that they get registered for classes.

ASU’s Student Support Center is also working with students who did not attend SOAR by offering a “Get Connected to ASU” program on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 3:30 p.m. in Room 110/111 of the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.  The program will include information about campus resources, as well as a campus tour and opportunities to meet other students and learn about student organizations.  It will conclude at the Student Organization Carnival and Fajita Cookout, events that are part of ASU’s Rambunctious Weekend festivities.

Also, prospective students who would like to enroll at ASU for the fall semester but have not yet applied for admission to the university may still apply.  Admissions counselors meet on a case-by-case basis with each student to develop an admission file.  To learn more, visit http://myfuture.angelo.edu/.

For more information about registering for classes or applying for admission to ASU, contact the Office of Admissions at 325-942-2041 or admissions@angelo.edu.  To RSVP to the “Get Connected to ASU” event, call 325-486-6614.
