Dalrymple at Langdon Review Weekend

Dr. Terry Dalrymple, professor of English, presented his short fiction piece, “What I Want You to Know,” at the Langdon Review Weekend, September 6-8, 2012.

Langdon Review Weekend is an annual literary and arts festival that takes place the first Thursday thru Saturday after Labor Day. The “Weekend” kicks off Thursday morning, at the Dora Lee Langdon Cultural and Educational Center in Granbury, Texas, for most of the festivities. This festival is when the co-editors unveil the year’s Texas Review of the Arts in Texas journal.

    On Tuesday evening, our local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society, inducted fifteen new members.
  • On November 2nd, Dr. Jules Gates, associate professor of English, presented her creative nonfiction poem “From His Coy Mistress” on a panel with two other creative nonfiction writers at the 2015 South Central Modern Language Conference (SCMLA) in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Dr. Chris Ellery, a professor of English in Angelo State University’s Department of English and Modern Languages, has won first prize in the eighth biennial X.J. Kennedy Award for Creative Nonfiction administered by Rosebud Magazine.
