ASU Art Exhibit to Feature Award-Winning Artist

Angelo State University will host an exhibit of award-winning artist Sukha Worob’s print art beginning Thursday, Aug. 18, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.

Worob’s interactive printing and traditional print show, titled “Abstracts and Acquaintances,” will be on free public display from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Sept. 23 in ASU’s Art Gallery, Room 193 of the EFA Building.

Born and raised in the mountains of Arizona, Worob utilizes contemporary approaches to printmaking through mixed media with a focus on personal and interpersonal relationships. His work has been exhibited widely and is represented in permanent collections throughout the United States.

Worob was honored at the the 2011 Southern Graphics Council International Conference, and his awards include the Printer’s Choice Award, the Dorothy and Joseph Moeller Arts Scholarship and the Whiteman Family Endowment for the Arts “Eye Dazzler Award.”
