Roscoe’s Den to Offer Quick Food Stop at ASU
August 19, 2011
Roscoe’s Den will be open from 7:30 p.m.-2 a.m. Monday through Thursday, after all other campus food service locations are closed. Hours for Friday-Sunday are yet to be determined.
In addition to cash, debit cards and credit cards, ASU students will be able to use Ram Points, a feature of ASU’s meal plans that allows students to make direct food purchases at the Food Service Center; the Houston Harte University Center’s dining room, Crossroads Snack Bar and R&B Espresso; and Roscoe’s Den.
The opening date for Roscoe’s Den could be moved up if kitchen equipment arrives earlier than expected, said Greg Pecina, ASU Business Services executive director.
The Roscoe’s Den menu will include several styles of handmade hamburgers, sandwiches and chicken wings, as well as french fries and onion rings. Also available will be “grab-and-go” food items, including wraps, sub sandwiches, fruit and warm desserts. Convenience store items, such as soda, snacks, other packaged food and toiletries, will also be available, said Richard Gonzalez, director of Chartwells, the ASU food service provider.
The ASU Super Slab, adjacent to Roscoe’s Den, can seat 75 people both indoors and out and will be equipped with a large-screen television and all-channel access.
Evening and weekend programs, including music, are planned, and a Special Events staff member will be available to check out sports equipment.
Roscoe’s Den will replace the now-closed Outtakes convenience store previously located in the Centennial Village residence hall. Possible uses for the vacated space are under consideration.
