Junk = Cash

October 02, 2012

Oscar had been a successful car salesman for several years and then he got the entrepreneurship bug. He knew he was ready to take the next step into business ownership but he wanted to get started up right.

Oscar has been very successful selling cars for several years. However, he has always wanted to start his own small business. Oscar thought he could help others by providing a service. Oscar would go to residences and commercial buildings and pick up junk they longer want or need.

He was unsure how to start this business so he met with Advisor Paul Howard of the Angelo State University • Small Business Development Center. Paul and Oscar discussed his idea and it was learned he already had a truck and a trailer he could use. Oscar had questions about business structure and Paul discussed the different structures with him. He also told Oscar how important good record keeping is for a small business. Oscar says, “The SBDC answered many questions and gave me encouragement.”

K O Junk Removal is open and ready to haul off your junk. The business created one job for the San Angelo with hopes to expand to having another truck and trailer in the near future.
