Genesis Perdue has been cutting and styling hair for several years.  After paying booth rent all that time, she decided it was time for her to open her salon and begin collecting booth rent instead of paying it.  When Genesis makes up her mind to do something, she is going to make it happen!

Genesis came to the Angelo State University - Small Business Development Center and met with James Leavelle to learn all that she could about opening her own business.  She asked any and every question that occurred to her to ask, trying to learn as much as she could about opening her own business.

James worked with Genesis and showed her how to establish her legal structure, get her Employer ID Number, and her Sales and Use Tax Certificate.  They worked together on coming up with financing options to furnish her salon.  According to Genesis, “James Leavelle helped me get the chance to follow my dreams and open my own salon.  I am so thankful for the SBDC leading, guiding and directing me in every direction needed to get this started.”

Xpose Hair Salon is now open and accepting new clientele! They offer a wide assortment of hair styling services and look forward to serving the city of San Angelo and the Concho Valley’s hair styling needs!
