Nellums and Godoy to Study in Russia

Marcus Nellums and Belia Maria Reyes Godoy, students in Angelo State University’s Russian language program, have received scholarships coordinated by the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREES) to continue their studies in Moscow this summer.

    On Tuesday evening, our local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society, inducted fifteen new members.
  • On November 2nd, Dr. Jules Gates, associate professor of English, presented her creative nonfiction poem “From His Coy Mistress” on a panel with two other creative nonfiction writers at the 2015 South Central Modern Language Conference (SCMLA) in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Dr. Chris Ellery, a professor of English in Angelo State University’s Department of English and Modern Languages, has won first prize in the eighth biennial X.J. Kennedy Award for Creative Nonfiction administered by Rosebud Magazine.
