ASU Music Profs to Present Concert

Three Angelo State University music professors and a guest will present a public concert on Thursday, March 7, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.

Titled “Music for Bassoon and Friends,” the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the EFA Building’s Eldon Black Recital Hall, and is open free to the public.

Dr. Jeff Womack, ASU associate professor of music, will perform bassoon pieces accompanied by ASU professors Dr. Martha Saywell on piano and harpsichord, and Dr. Maurice Kelley on cello.  Dr. Matthew Bishop, a music instructor at Laredo Community College, will join the ASU trio and play classical guitar.

The eclectic program will include works by Ulysses Kay, Karl A. Goepfert, David Kirby, John Steinmetz and Francois Devienne.
