ASU Community Chorale Begins Fall Rehearsals

The Angelo State University Community Chorale is rehearsing for a Nov. 23 concert when it will combine with the ASU Concert Chorale and a professional chamber orchestra to present George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah” at the San Angelo Convention Center, 500 Rio Concho Drive.

Rehearsals are each Monday through Nov. 22 from 6-8:30 p.m. on the ASU campus in the choir room on the second floor of the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building, 2602 Dena Drive. Interested local singers may join the Community Chorale by contacting ASU’s Division of Extended Studies or Dr. Pamela Lee, ASU director of choral activities.

In addition to Handel’s “Messiah,” classics by Biebl, Brahms, Rutter and Sweelinck will be presented during the Nov. 23 concert. Lee conducts the Community Chorale.
