Performs a variety of clerical duties relative to area of assignment; provides secretarial support to assigned departmental personnel; prepares and processes various types of documentation; performs data entry; and maintains departmental records and files. Provides information, customer service, and/or referrals to the public. Organizes and prepares materials for meetings, speaking engagements, fairs, and other functions. Performs other routine or specialized duties relative to area of assignment as required. Work at alternate locations as needed and some outdoor work required. Applicants must pass a 35 WPM typing test before an application will be accepted. High School Diploma or equivalent; and one year general office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required knowledge of general office principles, practices, and equipment; standard computer software applications; records management; and basic bookkeeping and accounting practices. Preparing correspondence, reports, and/or other types of documentation. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff, City departments, outside agencies, and the general public. Subject to sitting for extended periods of time, standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing step ladders, and lifting of objects up to 10-15lbs. A valid operator’s license with a good driving record is required.


Hours: Days 10:00am-2:00pm Mon-Fri.
