Corp Receives Russian Study Scholarship

Chaise Corp, a recent student in Angelo State University’s Russian language program, has received a scholarship coordinated by the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREES) to continue his studies in Moscow this summer.
Corp is a junior ROTC cadet with a political science major and a minor in history. His scholarship is through Project GO! (Global Officers), a collaborative initiative promoting critical language education, study abroad and intercultural dialogue opportunities for ROTC students from a network of 20 participating universities nationwide. He will study at Moscow International University from June 4-Aug. 5.
CREES is a component of the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Austin. ASU’s Russian program is part of the Department of English and Modern Languages, which recently joined the Texas, Russian and Eurasian Studies Network (TRESN). Ewa Davis, ASU instructor of Russian, serves on the TRESN Steering and Selection Committee for institutions of higher learning. She helped facilitate Mr. Corp’s CREES scholarship applications.
