ASU on ‘Affordable Online’ List

April 25, 2013

Angelo State University has been ranked among the “Top 25 Affordable Online Colleges in Texas” by StateStats.org and its partner website OnlineSchoolsTexas.com.

Overall, ASU ranked 14th on the Top 25 list, and is eighth among four-year institutions.  Criteria for making the list includes in-state and out-of-state tuition rates, student-to-teacher ratio, campus setting and breadth of online programs.

“Online education remains on the rise in Texas, with colleges of all types incorporating distance learning into their curricula,” said Wes Ricketts, vice president and general manager of StateStats.org.  “We wanted to showcase the wide range of Texas schools helping students earn their degrees remotely.”

ASU offers 17 online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs and seven online certification programs through the departments of Curriculum and Instruction; Nursing and Rehabilitation Sciences; Psychology, Sociology and Social Work; and Security Studies and Criminal Justice.  More information on degree and certification programs, courses, schedules, and tuition and fees is available at www.angelo.edu/distance_education/online_programs/.
