Student Assistant (Work-Study)
If you’re interested in community health, event planning, and promoting women’s health in the Concho Valley, consider joining our team at the Laura W. Bush Institute! This position assists with all aspects of event planning including registration, set up/break down, and publicity of events. This position is responsible for the writing of press releases and articles, as well as scheduling and participating in television interviews, and assisting with social media. The student worker will also assist with office management duties including answering phones, greeting visitors, and helping the Project Manager with various organizational tasks. Required skills include strong written and interpersonal skills, ability to be self-motivated and able to multi-task and be proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook. 20 hours per week, flexible during office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm) with occasional evenings or Saturdays for special events. Must be enrolled in classes during the Summer, Spring, and Fall semesters.
