Kornasky and Muelsch Recognized for Scholarship

Dr. Linda Kornasky, Professor of English, and Dr. Elisabeth-Christine Muelsch, Professor of French, received recognition at the the 2013 ASU President’s Awards for Faculty Excellence.  Both faculty members were nominated for Faculty Excellence in Research/Creative Endeavor, and each received a certificate from Dr. Brian May, President of Angelo State University.

    On Tuesday evening, our local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society, inducted fifteen new members.
  • On November 2nd, Dr. Jules Gates, associate professor of English, presented her creative nonfiction poem “From His Coy Mistress” on a panel with two other creative nonfiction writers at the 2015 South Central Modern Language Conference (SCMLA) in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Dr. Chris Ellery, a professor of English in Angelo State University’s Department of English and Modern Languages, has won first prize in the eighth biennial X.J. Kennedy Award for Creative Nonfiction administered by Rosebud Magazine.
