MAGICAL MOMENTS

Owner/Manager: Christi Marquez
Nature of business: Rent a character, novelties and balloons
City: San Angelo, TX
SBDC Advisor: Paul Howard

Christi and her husband currently own and operate a successful business, but she wanted to branch out on her own. Christi began purchasing costumes over the years to use for parties and special events. She thought this could lead to a business opportunity.

Christi decided to contact the Angelo State University Small Business Development Center and met with Advisor Paul Howard. Paul guided her through the steps of starting a small business such as legal structure, marketing and record keeping. Christi says, “I am very happy with the help I received from the ASU Small Business Development Center. Paul answered all my questions and led me in the right path. I am very happy and will continue to call Paul for other questions and totally recommend him.”

Magical Moments is now open and offers costumes to rent for parties and special events. The business created two jobs for the San Angelo economy.

Magical Moments is located at 2318 Dallas Street in San Angelo.
