Mandy found her niche while working for someone else. She really enjoyed booking travel plans for the executives where she was employed. So much so that she started her own agency. Mandy was very happy with the success of her business but knew she had to start a marketing campaign.

She contacted the Angelo State University • Small Business Development Center and met with Advisor Paul Howard. Paul and Mandy discussed different avenues of marketing and he suggested a brainstorming session to get the entire SBDC staff to assist. The session was very successful and Mandy says, “I came to the SBDC because I was a new business owner and I wanted ideas to help me push my travel business in the directions I needed it to go. Meeting with a group of six SBDC people helped give me avenues to pursue, along with great marketing ideas. They made me feel
like I had a great business and that my attention to detail, and my desire to please the customer would be strong points. I left the session eager to boost sales and confident I could.”

Two If By Travel has expanded the business with hopes of further expansion
in the future. The business retained one job for the San Angelo economy.
