Student Assistant - Access Services (NOT a work study position)

Qualification/Duties

Dependable and dedicated student who can work up to 20 hours per week.  This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, people skills, public service commitment, and personal reliability. The nature of the work requires visual acuity, full range of motion including but not limited to standing, sitting, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling book carts weighing up to 300 pounds, and lifting up to 30 pounds. 

Requires the ability to perform procedures of moderate difficulty, and learn Library policies and procedures.  Tasks range from working at the Circulation and Media desks to shelving and shifting books, answering phones, working on special projects, and other tasks as assigned.

Days/Times

Approximately 15 - 20 hours per week, including some weekend and evening hours.  Evening hours during in the Fall and Spring semesters includes at least one night per week until Midnight or 2:00am.  Summer shifts end no later than 11:00pm.      

Salary

Undergraduate- $8.25/Graduate- $8.95
