SBDC Offering Certificate Program

July 01, 2013

The Angelo State University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will offer an eight-week Small Business Management Certificate Program on Tuesdays from July 16-Sept. 3 at the Business Resource Center, 69 N. Chadbourne St.

The course sessions will run from 6-8:30 p.m. each Tuesday, and are designed to help entrepreneurs and small business owners learn the basics of how to start, run and grow a small business in the Concho Valley.  Topics will include business planning, financing, marketing, financial statements, legal issues and tax issues.

Cost of the program is $50 per person, which includes seminars, materials, a personalized notebook, a certificate and the graduation ceremony on Sept. 10.  To earn the certificate, participants are required to attend all seminars, write a business plan draft, complete online training modules and meet with an SBDC advisor before the end of the eight-week course.

Seating is limited, so advance registration is required.  For more information or to register, call the SBDC at 325-942-2098.  To register and pay online, go to www.angelo.edu/services/sbdc/sbmcp.php.
