SBDC Prepping Roundtable Event

Angelo State University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is accepting registrations for sponsors, vendors and exhibitors for its 15th annual Women’s Business Roundtable on Oct. 15 at the Cactus Hotel in downtown San Angelo.
The event will run from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 15 and is designed to promote the professional development of local and area businesswomen. Vendors and sponsors can choose from three sponsorship levels: Diamond Partner at $1,000, Silver Partner at $500 or Bronze Partner at $250. The registration deadline is Oct. 1, and those who register before Sept. 1 will get a 25 percent discount.
Additional promotional opportunities include donating door prizes and/or goodie bag items. Current sponsors for the event include First Financial Bank of San Angelo, Sam’s Club and KIDY Fox.
Registration is also ongoing for those planning to attend the Women’s Business Roundtable. Titled “Texas Sized Dreams,” the event’s discussion topics will include networking, pricing, recordkeeping, mentoring, customer service, leadership and financing. In addition to vendor and exhibitor booths, the event will feature a catered dinner and desserts donated by local bakeries and restaurants. The keynote speaker will be JoAnna Alexander, owner of Alexander Resource Group in San Angelo. Registration is $30 per person until Oct. 11 or when all seats are sold. Each attendee will receive a goodie bag, and door prizes will be awarded throughout the event.
“The Women’s Business Roundtable Event developed from the idea that the SBDC wanted to provide an inspirational and informative event concentrating specifically on women in business, addressing their specific needs and questions,” said Jessica Lambert, SBDC training coordinator and business development specialist. “Over the years, the event has evolved from a small informal lunch of approximately 30 women to a large annual event celebrating women in business and showcasing over 50 businesses each year through vendors and exhibitors, door prizes, goodie bags and the roundtable topics.”
