EML Study Abroad Trips for ‘14

The Department of English and Modern Languages will offer two study abroad programs in 2014.

Dr. Christine Muelsch will offer summer travel and study in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic from May 16 to June 17.

Dr. Laurence Musgrove will offer a travel writing course during the first 8 week of the spring semester followed by a Spring Break trip, March 8-16, to Italy.

    On Tuesday evening, our local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society, inducted fifteen new members.
  • On November 2nd, Dr. Jules Gates, associate professor of English, presented her creative nonfiction poem “From His Coy Mistress” on a panel with two other creative nonfiction writers at the 2015 South Central Modern Language Conference (SCMLA) in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Dr. Chris Ellery, a professor of English in Angelo State University’s Department of English and Modern Languages, has won first prize in the eighth biennial X.J. Kennedy Award for Creative Nonfiction administered by Rosebud Magazine.
