ASU Cheerleaders to Perform for ‘Friends and Family’

January 13, 2010

Angelo State University’s cheerleaders will perform their national contest routine for the public Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Center for Human Performance, 2050 S. Johnson St., on the ASU campus.

In addition to the ASU squad, cheerleaders from Grape Creek Middle School, Lee Middle School, Miles High School, Cornerstone Christian School’s K-5 cheerleaders and San Angelo Central High School will perform for the audience.

The ASU cheerleaders’ routine is the one they will perform at the Universal Cheerleaders Association College Nationals on Saturday, Jan. 16, in Orlando, Fla. The group is making its second-straight trip to the UCA competition after placing fifth in the All-Girl Division II category in 2009.

Kimberly Kuhns serves as the ASU cheerleaders’ coach.
