September 24, 2013
Angelo State University’s Club Café coffeehouse entertainment series will host the “NBC: Stand Up for Diversity Tour,” featuring comedians Gina Brillon and Raneir Pollard, on Wednesday, Sept. 25, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.
Brillon and Pollard will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center. Admission prices will be $2 for ASU students and $5 for the general public at the door. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and light refreshments and drinks will be served.
Winner of the 2012 Stand-Up NBC national comedy talent contest, Brillon describes herself as a Bronx-born Latina whose humor is a mix of femininity and fearlessness. A regular on the New York comedy scene, Brillon has performed at The Laugh Factory, the Gotham Comedy Club and The Comic Strip, among others. She has had roles in several independent films and performed as the opening act for singers Neyo and Chrisette Michelle.
