Kornasky in Critical Insights: The American Dream

Dr. Linda Kornasky, professor of English, has a new book chapter, “‘To Go into Partnership’: Gender, Class, Ethnicity, and the American Dream in Edith Wharton’s The House of Mirth,” appearing in Critical Insights: The American Dream, edited by Keith Newlin, published by Salem Press, 2013.

    On Tuesday evening, our local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society, inducted fifteen new members.
  • On November 2nd, Dr. Jules Gates, associate professor of English, presented her creative nonfiction poem “From His Coy Mistress” on a panel with two other creative nonfiction writers at the 2015 South Central Modern Language Conference (SCMLA) in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Dr. Chris Ellery, a professor of English in Angelo State University’s Department of English and Modern Languages, has won first prize in the eighth biennial X.J. Kennedy Award for Creative Nonfiction administered by Rosebud Magazine.
