Experience ASU on Nov. 16

Angelo State University’s Office of Admissions will host its Experience ASU program for high school seniors and prospective transfer students on Saturday, Nov. 16, at various locations on the ASU campus.

Experience ASU will run from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and is specifically designed to give high school seniors, transfer students and their families an in-depth look at ASU academic and campus life.

Check-in will begin at 8:45 a.m. in the Houston Harte University Center, and activities will include a welcome session, academic programs experience, exposure to academic learning environments, a department and student organization fair, guided campus tours, residence hall tours, student resource sessions and a session on admissions, financial aid and scholarships.  Lunch will be served in the ASU Food Service Center.

ASU’s academic programs will be presented by representatives of the Freshman College, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Health and Human Services, College of Business and College of Education.  Featured academic learning environments will include agriculture, music and theatre, Ram TV, computer science/game design, education, nursing, physics, sciences and security studies.

Participants will also be introduced to the programs and services available in the ASU Career Development Office, Honors Program, Multicultural Center, Residential Programs Office, SMART Learning Program, Transfer Services Office and Center for International Studies.
