ASU Music Professor to Present Clarinet Recital

Angelo State University Assistant Professor of Music Tim Bonenfant will give an unaccompanied recital at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2, in the in Eldon Black Recital Hall inside the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.

During the performance, Bonenfant will play six different members of the clarinet family from the tiny e-flat clarinet to the second largest, a contra alto clarinet. In addition, he will play pieces using the C, B-flat, A and bass clarinets. The recital is open free to the public.

“Wind players are accustomed to playing a recital with a pianist,” Bonenfant said. “This evening is an opportunity for the audience to experience full timbre of what the clarinet family has to offer.”

Pieces will range from 18th-century classical to contemporary dance.
