ASU Spooktacular Expanding to Two Performances

October 18, 2010

The Angelo State University Choir’s popular Halloween Spooktacular will expand to two performances for its 10th annual edition, Thursday, Oct. 21, and Friday, Oct. 22, in the San Angelo Convention Center, 500 Rio Concho Drive.

This year’s two 7:30 p.m. performances, titled “Spooktacular X: Broadway Goes Bump in the Night,” will feature ASU’s 90-voice chorus and its special guests, the Lee Middle School Rage and Company Show Choir. The program is open free to the public.

Featured selections with an eerie edge will come from such Broadway hits as “Beauty and the Beast,” “Cats,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Phantom of the Opera” and “Wicked.”

A costume contest will be held at 6:30 p.m. each evening for children ages 12 and younger with awards presented during each concert.
