-Work on summer meal programs in under served communities
-Develop a curriculum of enrichment activities for youth participating in Summer Meal Programs
-recruit and train volunteers work on SNAP(food stamps) assistance
-increase access to nutritious food for low income individuals and families
-collaborate with agencies to raise awareness about federal benefits including SNAP, Summer Meal Programs and WIC
-strengthen local community garden and sustainable agriculture efforts
-work with farmers markets and community gardens in building their capacity


10 week program: May 29- August 6
 8  week program: June 11- August 6


Living allowance to cover necessities during service
A $1,174.60 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award or an end service cash stipend
On site orientation and training
