ASU Planetarium Spring Schedule

Each Thursday from March 20 to May 1, “First and Farthest” will run at 7 p.m. and “Tales of the Maya Skies” will run at 8 p.m. All the shows are open to the public and there is no admission charge for “First and Farthest.” Admission prices for “Tales of the Maya Skies” are $3 for adults and $2 for children, active military and senior citizens. ASU students, faculty and staff are admitted free to both shows.
From the first rockets to the first man on the moon, “First and Farthest” celebrates humanity’s great accomplishments in the Space Race. Appropriate for 5th grade and up, this show will bring back memories for those who have experienced the Space Race, and will inspire new generations to keep exploring our universe. The show is sponsored by ASU’s Hispanic Serving Institution-Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (HSI-STEM) grant.
“Tales of the Maya Skies” immerses the audience in Mayan astronomy, art and culture through full-dome visuals. Produced by the Chabot Space and Science Center, the show inspires and educates through its description of the Maya’s accurate astronomical achievements and how astronomy connected them to the universe.
