Qualifications/Duties

Requirements:  High School Diploma (or GED) required; certification in activities required; minimum 2 years prior related experience in long term care preferred; certification as a Nursing Assistant preferred; requires knowledge that pertains to activities for residents in long term care; requires organizational skills to create and implement activities and to work with other departments and/or units to implement activities; requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) with appropriate state license and must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under BMM/Buckner’s insurance policy.

 

Responsibilities: Plan and implement programs that are in accordance with residents’ interests and capacities to participate. Provide quality recreational programs and activities as an aid to therapy and rehabilitation for the residents on assigned unit. Responsible for activity care plan of residents
