ASU ROTC Wounded Vets 5K Run

Angelo State University’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 847 will host the second annual Run for Wounded Veterans 5K race and 1-mile fun run on Saturday, March 29, through the ASU campus.

Registration will open at 8 a.m. at the ASU Pavilion on the east side of campus.  The race and the fun run will begin at 9 a.m. with divisions for men and women and age groups of 10 and younger, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and older.  Awards will be presented to the top three male and female runners overall and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group.

Registration fees for the 5K race are $10 for the general public and $8 for military members and ASU students.  Registration for the fun run is $4.  Walkers are also welcome.  The event is coordinated by ROTC Detachment 847 and ASU’s Robert G. Carr Squadron of the Arnold Air Society, an ROTC honor society.  All proceeds will go to benefit wounded veterans.
