ASU Club Café to Feature Singer

April 14, 2014

Angelo State University’s Club Café coffeehouse entertainment series will host singer/songwriter and actor Tyler Hilton on Wednesday, April 23, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.

Hilton will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center.  Admission prices will be $2 for ASU students and $5 for the general public at the door.  Doors will open at 7 p.m. and light refreshments will be served.

Known for the Top 40 hits “When It Comes” and “How Love Should Be” from his debut major-label album, “The Tracks of Tyler Hilton,” the Palm Springs, Calif., native has launched a second album, “The Storms We Share.”

The multi-talented Hilton’s songwriting and acting careers have comingled.  He played Elvis Presley in “Walk the Line,” the 2005 film biography of country star Johnny Cash, and his songs were included on the movie’s Grammy Award-winning soundtrack.  His music has also been included in three soundtracks for the “One Tree Hill” TV show, in which he also appeared as an actor.
