Discover ASU on April 26

Angelo State University will welcome high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors and their families to campus on Saturday, April 26, for “Discover ASU,” a daylong program for high school students to learn about campus life and educational opportunities at the university.

Check in will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive. The day’s activities will follow this schedule:

During the academic showcase, prospective students will have the opportunity to visit with representatives from each academic department on campus and discuss majors and areas of concentration.

The campus life showcase will provide information from several university support services, which include admissions, scholarships and financial aid, housing and dining services, recreational activities, student involvement, career development and university police.

The event also features optional activities, such as lunch from noon to 1:30 p.m. for $6.50 per person in the Food Service Center; campus tours that begin every five minutes from noon to 12:40 p.m.; and residence hall room tours from 1-2:30 p.m.
