EML Graduate Student Presents at TTU Gender Studies Conference and ASU Graduate Research Symposium

Nicole Stevens, an M.A. student in the EML department, presented “Gilman’s Alienating Rhetoric and the Mommy Wars,” at both the Texas Tech University Gender Studies Conference on April 18 and at the ASU Graduate Research Symposium on April 21, 2014.
On November 2nd, Dr. Jules Gates, associate professor of English, presented her creative nonfiction poem “From His Coy Mistress” on a panel with two other creative nonfiction writers at the 2015 South Central Modern Language Conference (SCMLA) in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Chris Ellery, a professor of English in Angelo State University’s Department of English and Modern Languages, has won first prize in the eighth biennial X.J. Kennedy Award for Creative Nonfiction administered by Rosebud Magazine.
