Library Study Areas for Final Exams

April 24, 2014

The Library repurposed its Information Literacy Corner as a designated Quiet Study area and set out additional tables for study in the Learning Commons.

Information Literacy CornerIn order to create as much space as possible for students to study for final exams, the Library designated the Information Literacy Corner in the Learning Commons as a Quiet Study Room from now through May 8. The Circulation crew closed the glass partitions to help create a quiet environment and our staff will enforce the need for quiet in this room. The other area in the Library that is permanently dedicated as a quiet study space is the Quiet Study Room on the Second Floor.

Learning Commons Study TablesThe Study Zone on the First Floor, near the Research Assistance Desk, is another spot where we try to keep the noise levels down. Students will also find several additional tables and chairs in the Learning Commons that they may use for group, or individual, studies. Our Group Study Rooms continue to be popular, so please be sure to make a reservation in order to ensure a room is available for use.
