New look for angelo.edu

October 01, 2014

Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 1, when Web customers log on to www.angelo.edu, the official website of Angelo State University, they will see a dramatically different homepage. Staff in ASU’s offices of information technology and communications and marketing have been researching and preparing these changes over the last three months.

The site’s home page will display more dynamic content, different use of photos, and “I Chose ASU” features. All navigation components from the previous design will be available on the page but may appear in different areas. The homepage redesign also gives a fresh look to pages throughout the website.

“This was an opportunity for the offices of information technology and communications and marketing to collaborate and update the site with focus on engaging prospective students and their families and improving the customer’s experience altogether,” said Doug Fox, chief information officer of information technology.

A revamped news page, www.angelo.edu/news, better highlights the accomplishments of the campus community, and a social media hub, www.angelo.edu/social-media, showcases some ASU-related social media activity.

“These changes will also give customers a greater opportunity to view all the great things accomplished by students, staff, faculty and supporters of Angelo State University,” said Becky Brackin, director of communications and marketing. “We invite everyone to explore this content and share with friends and colleagues.”
