ASUFit to Host Annual Turkey Trot

Angelo State University’s ASUFit fitness and wellness program will host its fourth annual Turkey Trot at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, on the ASU campus.

Participants will register from 8:30-9:45 a.m. at the start-finish line in front of the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive. The event is open free to the public.

Races will include a 5K run, a 1.5 mile fitness walk and a children’s race with categories for 6 years and younger, and 7-12 year-olds.

The event is sponsored jointly by ASUFit, the ASU Sports Medicine Club and the San Angelo Road Lizards running club, with proceeds going to support the Sports Medicine Club. In keeping with Turkey Trot tradition, awards for the 5K race will be pumpkin pies.
