Comic Article By Musgrove and Daughter
May 04, 2015
Dr. Laurence Musgrove, professor of English, and his daughter Myra Musgrove, an artist and illustrator living in Brooklyn, New York, have collaborated for the first time on an academic article developed and published in a 12-page comic format.
The article, “Drawing to Learn: To Understand and To Be Understood,” argues for the value of visual thinking and particularly drawing as a tool for learning across the curriculum.
The Journal of the Assembly for Expanded Perspectives on Learning (JAEPL), a National Council of Teachers of English affiliated journal, has published this comic article in its recent 20th anniversary issue.
